Waiting

To wait instead of to do is a difficult ask for many. To endure the monotony and to continue through an unchanging landscape without any power is what many would consider to be excruciating, after a little while, and yet there are suburbs.

To wait is to tire one out through the action of nothing. To leave one stationary, lacking the ability for any of their actions to make an impact, is to narrow them down to their own heads, and you don't want a head overthinking itself.

To wait is to survive the cycle of the day and night, the passing of the seasons, the process of aging without giving in. To go mad is to wait without an inkling of a result.

To wait is to have faith in whatever it is you are spending time to meet. To persevere through the nonsense of sedentary life in order to get to the interesting parts is life.

To wait is to swing hopelessly at your surroundings. To rest is to swing hopelessly in the wind.

To wait is to lack motion. To die is to lie senseless.

We have a lot of time to wait. It's up to us to do more than just that.

If you waste your life waiting, motionless, you might as well already be in the tree.
